- No separate rate for women buyers.
- urban = inside a city corporation (including the Greater Bengaluru corporations) or municipality; rural = inside taluk panchayat limits.
- Cess and surcharge are percentages of the stamp duty, not of the property value: 5% duty in a city works out to 5.6% of value before the registration fee.
- Registration fee is Rs 20 per Rs 1,000 or part of it, so the value is rounded up to the next Rs 1,000. No upper cap found.
- First sale of a new flat or apartment may pay a lower stamp duty under Article 20(2A); not modelled here (see unresolved).
- Not covered yet: Concessional stamp duty on the first sale of a flat or apartment (Article 20(2A)); Whether the 10% cess and the 3% taluk panchayat surcharge apply outside city limits.
